Over the 10 years VisionTech Automotive has been converting VW Transporters to Camper vans the team here has always asked themselves if there is another way to store your 240v hook up. If it is place under the vehicle or under the bonnet there is all the chance for corrosion to take place. Now we don't particular like the look of cutting a hole in the side of your van, just to store you hook-up plug, so the team went to work...
We then had the idea to make & modify a VW T6 Grille to see if we could make it house a 240v hook-up plug. As no one in the Campervan community seemed to have done it before, we decided to take on the challenge.
Stages of Development
The VTA eGrille has been through a few stages of development, these stages have consisted of building each grille from hand, then making fiber glass moulds and finally moving over to 3D printing.
Now we 3D print every component that makes our eGrille we are able to get accurate results, which allows us to make each part of the grille lock together, this ensures that your eGrille will always be at its strongest.
